Silver bangle with charm
Spend a morning or afternoon at The Studio learning the traditional art of silversmithing to create your own silver bangle. In this half-day workshop, you will work with sterling silver to forge a beautiful, organic-shaped bangle, finished with a handmade charm that you have designed yourself.
This workshop is a great introduction to working with sterling silver. You will be guided through each stage of the process, from measuring and soldering to the satisfying work of shaping the metal with a hammer to create a piece that fits you perfectly.
What to Expect
This is a practical, energetic workshop that introduces you to the essential tools of the silversmith’s bench. I’ll take you through each stage of making the bangle:
- Sizing and soldering: You will work out what size you need before cutting your silver and joining it using a specialist torch.
- Forging and shaping: You will use a variety of hammers to forge the silver, turning a simple circle into an organic shape.
- Designing the charm: You will decide on the style of your charm—perhaps a textured disc or a hand-stamped shape.
- Metal texturing: You will explore different ways to add a texture to your silver, such as using the rolling mill, hammers or metal stamps for a personalised finish.

The workshop fee covers all the professional equipment and guidance needed to complete your jewellery.

What to Bring
I recommend you bring the following:

What you will take home
- Your handmade bangle: A solid sterling silver bangle and charm, forged and polished by your own hands to your exact size.
